Welcome to Upachaya.

Upachaya is set in the jungle on Man O' War Harbor here on the island of Roatan, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras. This is a private setting tucked away from the mainstream providing you a tranquil setting to commune with like- minded individuals, or to enjoy your own solitude.

Upachaya means growing and improving in Sanskrit. You will have every opportunity to do just that, expand your mind by participating in the lectures from our various speakers focused on alternative healing modalities, or simply through meditation either guided, or by yourself in the gardens. We offer you the opportunity to indulge the body in energy sessions such as pilates, and yoga, or to partake in the many spa treatments available. Whatever you choose we will work diligently to provide you a memorable experience.

We are currently in the process of building and nurturing Upachaya and hope to have accommodations available for guests in Fall of 2009. In the meantime, we hope if you are on the island, you come to experience one of our many events or plan your trip to Roatan when we open our doors next year. Or just come back periodically to check out our website. We will be adding a monthly educational column where we will be sharing information on many of the various healing modalities available to us today.
