Upachaya is in an idyllic setting, nestled in the jungle on Man O' War Harbor here on the island of Roatan, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras. This is a private setting tucked away from the mainstream providing you a tranquil setting and relaxed atmosphere where you can commune with nature, experience the underwater world of the Meso-American Barrier Reef, or enjoy your own solitude.

Come join us at Upachaya and take an eco-break. Relax in harmony with all that Upachaya offers. Sway gently from a hammock in the gardens, swing in the chairs nestled among the trees, stroll through the mangroves watching the local wildlife, kick back and enjoy the view from our private dock, lounge in our swim-up pool bar, or simply rest and enjoy the sounds of the local birds.

Here at Upachaya our aim is to "live lightly on this earth". We are environmentally conscious and have imbued that sentiment in all aspects of our eco-adventure retreat.

Upachaya means growing and improving in Sanskrit. You will have every opportunity to do just that; physically by partaking in the various water sports; mentally by participating in the workshops from our various speakers focused on alternative healing modalities; or spiritually through meditation either guided, or by yourself in the gardens. There are many options to choose whether it is by joining a yoga or Pilates class, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, or relaxing with one of the many spa services offered. Whatever you choose we will work diligently to provide you a memorable experience.
