Come join us for our fun eco-friendly Kayak / Snorkel Tours, away from the crowds and the usual tourist spots. We offer a two hour kayak only tour or a combination Kayak/Snorkel tour where one hour is spent kayaking and one hour is snorkeling from your kayak. Just specify which tour you wish when booking in the message section. Our tour includes: transportation to and from the cruise ship terminal, both the Coxen Hole port and Mahogany Bay port, or your resort, a meal, beverages, and kayaking, all in the surroundings at Upachaya's Resort in Man O' War Harbor. We are located just 3 miles from the Coxen Hole port and 6 miles from Mahogany Bay port, so the majority of your time will be spent on the water exploring the abundance of underwater wonders in the reef that surrounds Roatan. Our guide will lead you over the pristine waters through the mangrove channels, allowing you to explore this unique eco-system. You will have the opportunity to anchor and snorkel, or just view marine life as you pass over the coral heads. Take time afterward to explore nature on the property at Upachaya, or simply kick back, and relax with a cold beverage.

We pride ourselves on the safety we provide our guests, utilizing quality equipment. We work closely with the Roatan Marine Park to insure our tours are eco-friendly and support and help sustain the reef systems. All this, and with skilled staff eager to make this experience one that will leave you with fond memories of our island home.

We require a $25.00 deposit per person to hold your reservation. The balance is due on arrival at Upachaya and payable in cash. We will refund your deposit, minus a small handling fee, if your cruise ship changes their itinerary and you do not stop in Roatan, or if we cancel the tour due to weather

This tour requires intermittent effort throughout, including walking medium distances over uneven surfaces and walking up a hill back to the parking area. We welcome all ages, however you must be reasonably fit for this tour. You do not need to be an experienced kayaker to enjoy this tour. We provide tandem kayaks for all guests.

For those not affiliated with a cruise ship, we welcome all those staying at resorts and encourage your participation as well. Please follow the same procedures for booking a reservation.

Just What Does This Tour Include?

Your kayak tour will start at the private dock at Upachaya in Man O' War Harbor. You will ride in 2 person, tandem kayaks, equipped with life vests and paddles, through mangrove channels, over sea grass beds, around islands and of course to the barrier reef and natural channels cut in the reef. Your guide will accompany you at all times. We will serve a meal with beverages (beer, soda and water) upon your return to Upachaya. Snorkel equipment is available should you wish to anchor your kayak and slip into the water to observe the marine life.

You will arrive back at the cruise ship terminal with plenty of time to spare before your ship’ s departure.
